On Friday, the Perry County Central Commodores took their three game winning streak to Whitley County where they took on the Colonels. The Commodores were able to keep the game close in the first half, but fell on hard times in the second, succumbing by the score of 47-28.
The game was nip-and-tuck throughout the first half, with the Commodores holding a slight advantage early. Later in the half, Whitley County went on top and then went into the locker room with the 25-22 lead.
Whitley County came out of the locker room, and put the first touchdown on the board, giving them the 33-22 lead. The Colonels would not look back.
Perry Central had but one lone touchdown in the second half, and eventually gave up the win by the final score of 47-28. The loss drops the Commodores record to 3-4 on the season.
