David Dickerson, 48, of Campton, died Saturday, Oct. 20 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.
He was the son of Fredia Williams Dickerson and the late James Dickerson, and was born in Perry County on July 12, 1964. He was a drill operator and served in the U.S. Army, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife, Wanda Burton Dickerson; mother Fredia Williams Dickerson; daughters Latoshia Morris and husband Garrett of Hazel Green, Ky., and Erika Carson and companion Stephen Brown of Frankfort; grandchildren Macie Jean Morris, Jarrah Herald, D.J. Herald, and Dillon Herald; brothers Jeff Dickerson; half-brother Buddy Williams; niece Megan Dickerson and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Dickerson, and brother Jimmy Dickerson.
Arrangements were handled by Porter & Son Funeral Directors in Campton, where the services were held on Tuesday, Oct. 23 with Bro. Greg Chaney and Bro. J.R. McQuinn officiating. Burial followed in the Burton Family Cemetery in Gillmore, Ky.
