Jack Eversole, 79, of Hazard, died Tuesday, Oct. 23 at the hospice care center in Hazard. He was a retired mechanic for the City of Hazard.
He was the son of the late Clarence Eversole and the late Ellen Vanover Eversole, and was also preceded in death by brothers Everett and Cash Eversole.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Messer; daughter Ena Eversole; sons Jimmy Eversole and wife Karen, Larry Everosle and wife Lisa, and Jeffery Eversole and wife Londa; stepsons Gary Messer and Jesse Messer; stepdaughters Donna Brashear, Mary Messer, and Georgia Wallace; sisters Loretta Tucker, Shirley Baker, and Edith Hamilton; brothers Bill, Fred, Bobby Gene, Virgil, and David Eversole; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements were handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where services were held on Friday, Oct. 26 with Johnny Akers and William Morris officiating. Burial was at the family cemetery in Big Creek.
