An overnight fire at a home in Bonnyman destroyed too much of the residence to determine the cause, authorities say.

The fire broke out late Monday at a house on Robin Run, and while on scene fire crews and law enforcement called for the Kentucky State Police Arson Investigator Randy Gabbard. When Gabbard arrived at the scene, he said the the flames had destroyed nearly all of the usable evidence.

The home was burned nearly to the ground in the blaze, which made determining the cause impossible. Gabbard noted that the homeowner reported that he had several electric heaters plugged in which had blown a fuse earlier in the day, and the homeowner believed that could have caused of the fire.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and the homeowner said he had left the heaters plugged in while away.
