The Hazard Bulldogs took on the Estill County Engineers early last week. The Bulldogs were able to stay one step ahead of the Engineers in the early going, and broke the game open late for the 77-55 win.
Estill County opened the game with the momentum on their side. Hazard, however, was able to turn the tables midway through, holding a 21-17 lead at the horn.
Both teams cooled off a little in the second period, but Hazard managed to keep control of the tempo. The Bulldogs head to the locker room with the 37-30 advantage.
The Bulldogs pulled out all the stops in the third period to put the game on ice. Going into the final frame, Hazard was on top 57-37.
Hazard continued to put points in the final quarter, while keeping Estill County from getting a rally started. The Bulldogs went on to win the game by the final count of 77-55.
