The Perry County Central Commodores went on the road last week for their only pre-holiday game. The Commodores traveled to Central Hardin to take on the Bruins.
Perry Central struggled in the first period, but managed to keep it close. The Commodores finished the period well, and went into the second period trailing 14-10.
The Commodores picked up the pace in the second frame, and managed to out shoot the Bruins. However, Perry Central still went into the locker room trailing 24-22.
The tempo was kicked up a notch in the third period, but the Commodores gave back the two points they gained in the second period. Perry Central went into the final eight minutes trailing 41-37.
Perry Central pulled out all the stops in the fourth quarter, in an attempt to pull off the comeback. The Commodores began to heat up late, and eventually took the lead. They were able to hold on down the stretch, and came away with a hard-fought 59-58 win.
