The Perry County Central Commodores spent their holiday in Lexington as they participated in the Republic Bank Classic. The Commodores started the tournament with the Bishop Brossart Mustangs. They did not get off to a great start, and struggled throughout.
Perry Central could not find their range in the first period, and quickly fell down 11-4. By the break, the Commodores were in a 26-15 hole.
The Commodores were able to pick up the pace in the second half, but could do little to erase their deficit. At the end of the third period, Perry Central found themselves down 41-37, and eventually fell 66-41, placing them in the loser’s bracket for the rest of the tournament.
