Alice Branson, 71, of Viper, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was the daughter of the late Howard Dunsil and the late Mabel Marshall, and was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jonah Pratt; great-grandchild Ashlee Hall; sisters Billie Jean, Wanda, and Ruth; and brother Chris.
She is survived by her husband, Leonard “Buck” Branson; sons Charles Chuck Branson and wife Kay of Viper, and David Branson and wife Lynn of Dice; daughters Rita Pratt and husband Baja of Viper, Betty Ann Gabbard and husband Danny of Tennessee, and Teresa Hall and husband Mark of Viper; sisters Coleen Sparks of Nevada, Betty Morgan of Hazard, Marcia Campbell of Beattyville, and Yvonne Dunsil of Lexington; brothers (twin) Alvin Dunsil of Florida, Darrell Dunsil of Lexington, and Joel Dunsil of Hazard; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and a host of family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19. The services will follow with Rev. Carl Baker officiating. Interment will be at the Branson Family Cemetery at Viper.
