In their second game of the Toyota Classic, the Perry County Central Commodores took on the Elizabethtown Panthers. The game was tight in the first half, with the Commodores pulling away in the third period. They would ride the third period cushion to the 68-45 win.
The scoring went back and forth in the first period, with Perry Central finishing with the 16-14 lead. Little changed in the second period, with the Commodores once again pulling off the single-basket advantage. This sent Perry Central to the locker room leading 30-26.
The Commodores went ballistic in the third period, and started pulling away from the Panthers. With eight minutes left to play Perry Central sat on a 53-35 lead. They were able to hold off an Elizabethtown rally, and went on to the 68-45 win.
Braxton Beverly, Justin Johnson and Dalton Cornett all had double-doubles in the game.
