Late last week, the Hazard Bulldogs traveled to Whitesburg to take on the Letcher Central Cougars. The Bulldogs jumped out to an early lead, and continued to pull away throughout the contest as they came away with the 68-49 win.
Hazard opened the game strong and quickly jumped into the lead. By the time the horn sounded ending the first period, the Bulldogs had collected a double-digit lead at 19-7.
The Bulldogs slowed a little in the second period, but still controlled the tempo. At the half, Hazard was up 30-15.
Letcher Central picked up the pace in the third period, but could do little to cut into the Hazard lead. With eight minutes remaining, the Bulldogs were up 48-35. The Bulldogs put the game on ice in the fourth quarter, and went on to take the 68-49 win.
