Jane Ann Vires, 70, of Chavies, died Friday, Feb. 22 at the Hazard ARH medical center.
She was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church and the daughter of the late Joe Mullins and Lizzie Strong Mullins.
She was also preceded in death by sisters Rosa Lee Moore, Geraldine Gwin, and Hazel Daniels; and brothers Joe Mullins, Jr. and Eugene Mullins.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kell Vires; daughters Diana Neace and husband George of Chavies, and Sherri Claunch and husband Randy of Chavies; sisters Wanda Faye Fugate of Lexington and Cassie Howard of Ohio; brother Clarence Mullins of Lost Creek; grandchild Kelly Russell and husband Tony; and great-grandchildren Colt Anthony Russell and Clinton Gunner Russell.
Arrangements are being handled by Maggard Mountain View Chapel of Hazard, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m on Monday, Feb. 25. Services will begin at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 26 with Rev. Chris Fugate and Rev. Jeff Fugate officiating. Interment will be at Kell and Jane Vires Family Cemetery in Chavies.
