The Perry County Central Commodores opened their baseball season with a pair of games on the road. At the end of the week, the Commodores had come up empty with a 0-2 record.

After having their game with the Harlan Black Bears cancelled, Perry Central made the trip on Thursday. The trip was for naught as they were blanked by the Black Bears 10-0.

On Saturday, Perry Central made the trip to Pike Central to take on the Hawks. The Commodores were able to get a couple of runs across the plate, but were not able to come away with the win. Pike Central dropped Perry Central’s record to 0-2 on the season.

The Commodores will get a rematch with the Hawks this Saturday. They will also host the Leslie County Eagles on Tuesday. Perry Central’s lone away game will be Thursday as they go back to Harlan County to take on the Green Dragons.
