Early last week, the Perry County Central Commodores traveled to Lee County to take on the Bobcats. The Commodores fell to the Bobcats just a week before at home.
Neither team was able to break the ice in the first three innings of play. The Commodores then took the 6-0 lead, scoring a pair of runs in the fourth inning and four runs in the fifth inning. Lee County’s only runs came in the bottom of the fifth inning when they plated three (6-3).
The 6-3 score held to the end, and Perry Central collected their third win on the week. Derrick Luttrell got the win on the mound (2 strikeouts). Jordan Baker collected a pair of strikeouts on the mound.
