Last week, the Hazard Bulldogs traveled to play the Woodford County Yellow Jackets. Neither team was able to put any runs on the board until the final inning, with the Bulldogs winning the battle.
The game went scoreless until the final at-bat for each team. Woodford County put a single run on the board in the seventh, putting the pressure on the Bulldogs.
Hazard was more than up to the task as they were able to steal the win with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning. Austin Johnson got things started with a triple. Johnson would then score on a single by JT Haynes. Haynes moved all the way to third via the error, and then scored on a fly ball by Evan Whitaker.
The run gave the Bulldogs the 2-1 win. Griffin Wells got the win going one inning with a strikeout. Kameron Conley put in six strong innings with six strikeouts.
