Charles Brewer, 67, died Saturday, April 20 at his residence in Perry County.
He was born February 17, 1946, in Hazard, the son of Jane Brewer, and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ethel Jane Brewer, and brother, Lonnie Brewer.
He was a life-long resident of Perry County, a coal miner and truck driver by occupation, and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working outside, and especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Brewer of Hazard; sons Charles Conley Brewer and wife Crystal, Charles Lee Koontz and wife Angie, and Michael Hall and wife Angie, all of Hazard; daughters Regina Strong and husband Jack of Hazard, Faronia Denise Brewer of Hazard, Charlena Everidge of Hindman, Brenda Hall of Hazard, Eugenia Stamper and husband Jamie of Hazard, Paula Renee Brewer of Hazard, and Crystal Brewer of Hazard; sisters Shera Norma Sebastian of Newport, Ky. and Christine Baker of Hazard; very special brother-in-law Eugene Engle; very special friends Nyoka White and Blue Colwell; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard with Mark Combs and Lonnie Brewer officiating. The interment will follow in the Brewer Family Cemetery located at Hazard. The visitation will be at the Engle-Bowling Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6 till 9 p.m.
