Early last week, the Perry County Central Lady Commodores traveled to Eastern to take on the Allen Central Lady Rebels. The Lady Commodores had little trouble disposing of the Lady Rebels as they rolled to the 16-3 win.
Allen Central took the early lead, scoring a pair of runs in the first inning. The lead held until the third inning when Perry Central went up 5-2.
The Lady Commodores would continue to score down the stretch, taking the 8-2 lead in the fourth inning, and jumping ahead 11-2 with three more runs in the fifth inning.
The two teams traded runs in the sixth inning (12-3), and closed out the game strong with four runs in the seventh inning (16-3). Whitney Back got the win on the mound with nine strikeouts and one walk.
