Robert Dale Henry, 87, died Wednesday, May 29 at the Hyden Helath and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 13, 1925, in Fosters, Ohio, the son of the late Enoch Richard Henry and the late Gertrude Williams Henry. He was also preceded in death by his former wife, Mary Ellen “Rich” Henry; sons Ronald Dale Henry and Mark Dwayne Henry; and sisters Edith Mae Allen and Hazel R. Benton.
Bob loved to travel, and he played all sports, but played softball for a big part of his life. He owned several Harley-Davidson Electra Glides and Indian Motorcycles, which he enjoyed riding around the country.
He is survived by his son, Paul Dick Henry of Maineville, Ohio; daughters Barbara Combs and husband Ron of Hunter, Ohio, and Kathy Henry of Hyden; grandchildren Shannon Henry, Amy Breeze, Bud Rogers, Mark Henry, Heather Henry and Travis Henry; great-grandchildren Austin, Daniel, Eli, Abby, Keaton, Casey, Katie, Cullen, Haydn and Suzannah; great-great-grandchild Aiden, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday June 3 at the Stine-Kilburn Funeral Home in Lebanon, Ohio. The interment followed at the Deerfield Cemetery in South Lebanon. This obituary appears courtesy of Engle Bowling Funeral Home of Hazard.
