Perry volleyball team splits week

The Perry County Central volleyball team played a pair of games at home this week. The Lady Commodores took on the Breathitt County Lady Bobcats and the Prestonsburg Lady Blackcats.

Early in the week, the Lady Commodores hosted the Lady Bobcats of Breathitt County. Despite Breathitt County gaining momentum throughout the match, Perry Central was able to claim the victory in three straight games. The Lady Commodores collected the 25-11 win in the first game, a 25-20 win in game two, and closed out the night with a 26-24 win.

On Thursday, Perry Central took on Prestonsburg. This would prove to be a long night for both teams as the match went five games. The Lady Commodores took the first two games 26-24 and 25-21, however, the Lady Blackcats would rebound with a pair of wins (25-20 and 25-12).

Perry Central would regain their composure for the final and deciding game. The Lady Commodores put together a 15-11 win for the match.
