Road work set for the weekend

October 10, 2013

Road crews will begin a repaving project in Hazard on Saturday, and officials are urging people to use caution in the area.

Hazard Fire Chief Sam Stacy explained that milling work will take place on a stretch of city streets from the High Street intersection with Memorial Drive along East Main Street to the Pizza Hut, and up to the bridge past Long John Silver’s from 10 a.m. to noon.

Those same areas will also be affected on Monday as workers resurface the roads.
