Contest winners announced for ‘Paint Perry Pink’

HAZARD—The 2013 Paint Perry Pink Contest was held this month, during which businesses, schools, and individuals decorated their establishments in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The contest’s award ceremony was held at the Perry County Public Library last week, and the event, sponsored by the Hazard-Perry County Cancer Coalition, received 25 entries for six different categories this year. Brandon Robinson also received the “Volunteer of the Year” award from the Relay for Life, which raised just over $92,000 in Perry County this year.
