The Perry County Central Commodores hosted the St. Patrick’s Saints in a preseason scrimmage on Saturday. The Commodores had little trouble disposing of the Saints as they put both the varsity and the junior varsity on the floor during the game.
Perry Central came out slow but quickly picked up the pace. After a couple of minutes had past, the Commodores caught fire and jumped out to the double-digit lead. At the half, they led 39-10.
The Commodores went mainly with their younger players and bench in the second half. However, there was no drop off as Perry Central continued to hold a sizable lead. The game ended with the Commodores taking the 62-43 win.
Austin Hill led the Commodores in scoring with 15 points, while Justin Johnson pulled down seven rebounds in limited playing time.
