The Buckhorn Wildcats began their week by hosting the Breathitt County Bobcats. The Wildcats won the cat fight with a steady offensive performance that left the Bobcats on the short end of a 75-52 score.
Buckhorn nearly put a double-digit deficit on Breathitt County in the first period (18-10). The Wildcats were able to up their advantage in the second period, and went into the locker room sitting on a 34-23 lead.
The Wildcats were able to break their opponents’ spirit in the third period as they continued to build a lead. Buckhorn went into the final frame with a solid 54-37 lead.
Breathitt County could not break the momentum in the final period, allowing Buckhorn to take the 75-52 win. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Connor Hoskins who tossed in 25 points on the night.
