Bulldogs tame Cougars

The Hazard Bulldogs and the Letcher Central Cougars did battle this week on the hardwood. The Bulldogs took control of the game early, and never looked back as they notched a 67-53 win.

Hazard jumped out to a double-digit lead as they held the 18-8 lead at the first horn. Play evened out in the second period, but Letcher Central was unable to stop the Bulldogs from going into the locker room with the lead (31-22).

The momentum was back in the Bulldogs’ court for the third period, allowing them to all but put the game on ice (50-31). Hazard closed out the game with their bench on the floor, and when the final horn sounded, they took the 67-53 win.
