The Buckhorn Wildcats closed out their regular season with the Powell County Pirates. The game was close throughout, with an overtime period needed to settle the issue.
It was all Buckhorn in the first period as they ended with the 24-14 lead. However, Powell County would turn the tables in the second period, going into the locker room with the 36-35 advantage.
The Wildcats regained the advantage in the third period, going into the fourth quarter with the 60-54 lead. The fourth quarter belonged to the Pirates as they were able to tie the game and force an overtime period to settle the issue.
Buckhorn jumped all over Powell County in the overtime period, taking the lead early. The Wildcats finished off the Pirates with a 86-79 victory.
Buckhorn’s Connor Hoskins finished the game with a triple-double.
