HAZARD-Deputies are still searching for a Perry County man after he escaped police custody earlier this month.
Roger Little, 35, of Combs, ran from Perry County Sheriff’s officers on April 2, as he and his twin brother, Rodney Little, approached a road check in the Combs community, according to officials with the sheriff’s office.
Roger was apprehended by Deputy Kevin Day and handcuffed, Deputy Jerry Burns reported.
“They both [subjects] ran up the side of the mountain there at Lick Branch, Deputy Day apprehended Roger Little, handcuffed him and the other subject was going down the hill, and before Deputy Waddell could get to that subject he [Roger] took off running,” Burns said.
Roger was still handcuffed when he escaped custody, Burns said. The handcuffs were returned to the sheriff’s office later that week.
Deputies are still searching for Roger Little.
“He’s actually got several felony warrants on him. He had a parole violation on him is the reason that he was running,” Burns said.
