The Hazard Lady Bulldogs opened their All “A” region tournament with the Leslie County Lady Eagles. The Lady Bulldogs struggled in the first and fourth period, leading them to the 66-39 loss.
Hazard had trouble finding their range in the first period, and trailed 16-6 at the horn. The Lady Bulldogs were able to play even with the Lady Eagles in the second period, and went into the intermission down 26-16.
Hazard made a rally early in the third period, but faltered midway through, ending the period behind 47-31. A poor showing in the fourth quarter set the final score at 66-39, dropping Hazard from the tournament.
