Police say the incident happened at the Super 8 Motel on the Hal Rogers Parkway early Thursday morning when six Ohio men allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim while she was passed out.
The men were part of a crew contracted to move items out of the old library on High Street, and police say it was their last night in town when the incident was alleged to have happened.
Police came in contact with the victim at the Hazard Hotel early Thursday morning while responding to a call reporting a female passed out in the back of a red pick-up truck, noted HPD Officer Bruce Fields. Once he arrived on the scene, Fields said he located the female, who was still passed out, but when she regained consciousness she began telling authorities what had happened.
Deputy Chief Joe Engle with the Hazard Police Department said it appeared the victim met one of the men prior to the incident and returned to a hotel room at the Super 8 where the incident was alleged to have occurred.
“She alleged that six of them had sex with her against her consent,” said Engle.
Once the men finished, police say the victim was bathed in an apparent attempt to clean any evidence of what had happened before being driven to the Hazard Hotel and left in the truck, where police would eventually find her that morning.
“We suspect that they tried to bathe her to get rid of any kind of physical evidence from having sex with her,” said Engle.
Authorities have charged the following men in relation to the incident:
Leslie George Ivory, 43, of Dayton, was charged with one count each of first-degree rape and tampering with physical evidence. According to the police report, Ivory was named during audio and video taped statements made by another defendant to have engaged in the alleged rape. The report also notes that Ivory admitted to cleaning the victim off in the shower.
Tajh Eugene Barton, 20, of Dayton, was charged with one count of first-degree sodomy. According to the police report, Barton admitted to have oral sex with the alleged victim.
Doyne Shane Glass, 34, of Miamisburg, was charged with first-degree rape. According to the police report, Glass was named by another defendant as one of the men who had intercourse with the victim.
Terry James Bolin, 34, of Cincinnati, was charged with first-degree rape. According to the police report, Bolin was also named by another defendant as one of the men who had intercourse with the victim.
James Wayne Devoe, 20, of Lewistown, was charged with first-degree rape. According to the police report, Devoe was named by another defendant as one of the men who had intercourse with the victim.
Carlos La Mar Robinson, 20, of Dayton, was charged with first-degree sodomy. According to the police report, Robinson also admitted to having oral sex with the victim.
Each of the six men arrested were lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard.
Police say a rape kit was administered on the victim and the alleged perpetrators, but it will be some time before the results are returned.

they should have done to them as they done to the woman and then they would think twice before they rape anyone else
