Woman arrested with hundreds of pills

HINDMAN – A Knott County woman was arrested on Monday and charged with bringing illegal prescription drugs for sale into Eastern Kentucky from out of state.

According to a release from the Kentucky State Police, authorities from several agencies in Knott and Letcher Counties conducted an investigation into the transport of illegals drugs from outside of Kentucky into Hindman. That investigation culminated in the arrest of 34-year-old Delilah Hall, of Hindman, who was charged with first and third-degree trafficking in a controlled substance. Police say Hall was in possession of several hundred assorted prescribed medications along with a handgun.

Hall was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard, and police say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.

Taking part in the investigation were the Kentucky State Police, Knott and Letcher County Sheriff’s Offices, HIDTA, and Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
