Blood drive

A blood drive will be held at Hazard ARH on Oct. 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. It will located at 100 Medical Center Drive in Hazard on the KBC Bloodmoible.

Trunker Treat

Cardinal Automotive would like to invite you and all your little goblins down to the dealership on Oct. 29 for Trunker Treat. It will begin at 6 p.m. and last until 8 p.m. The event will be held inside the service drive. Make sure to come down and bring the kids for a safe, warm and fun Trick or Treat.

Turkey dinners

On Oct. 30, Christian Womens Fellowship will sponsor $8 turkey dinners located at First Baptist Church Town Mountain at 11 a.m. The dinners include: Turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, rolls, cranberry sauce, and dessert. Deliveries available for three or more dinners. Call 606-439-5169. Please call one hour ahead of time for delivery dinners. All proceeds go to fund activities of the church.

Costume Contest

The Hazard VFW, Post 7387 will be hosting a Halloween party on Oct. 31, open to the public. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be given for the best costumes, so dress your best and support your local VFW.

Become a foster/adoptive parent

Informational meeting: On Nov. 10, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at the Perry County Protection and Permanency Office in Hazard. The class is open to individuals regardless of county of residence. This is a question answer time no commitment required. The need for good foster/adoptive homes is very great. If you are over 21 years of age; have a current income are able to pass a background check and you live in a safe home with room for more, then you could be eligible to become a foster/adoptive parent. There will be 10 training classes during consecutive weeks. The classes will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Perry County Office starting Nov. 17, and will meet on Tuesday’s for 10 weeks. The office is located in the Black Gold Shopping Center. Classes are free and all materials will be provided. Annual chili day

The Vicco-Sassafras Volunteer Fire and Rescue will be hosting their annual chili day on Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. It will include chili, soup, grilled cheese, hot dogs, taters and a drink.
