A public forum to release the nutrition and physical activity report for the Hazard Independent School District is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Feb. 17, at the Hazard Independent Board of Education Central Office.
The Hazard High School will be having an open house for parents on Feb. 17 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. at Hazard High School. Midterm report cards will be available for parents to pick up. Teachers will be available for discussion of student progress.

The Title V Senior Community Service Employment Program is an on-the-job training program for individuals age 55+ who are low income. This program helps individuals gain job skills that they need to help them get back out into the workforce. The Lady Falcons Hillbilly Slam
The Hazard Christian Academy invites everyone to their annual girls varsity volleyball tournament known as The Lady Falcons Hillbilly Slam! One game will be played on Feb. 4 at 6:00 p.m. The rest of the games will be played Fe. 5 starting at 9:30 a.m. The championship game will begin at 8:00 p.m. All games will be played in the Sam Fugate Memorial Gym beside the school, which is two miles north of Highway 80 (Hal Rodgers Parkway) on Highway 15 at Speedway Road.
