Airport Gardens vacation bible school

You are cordially invited to the Airport Gardens Baptist Church for vacation bible school on July 23 through July 26, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., for kids aged toddler through teens. The theme will be “Meet me at Galilee.” We will be learning about the miracles of Jesus and the places where they occurred. There will be food, games, and a fishing trip on Sunday evening. Back to school giveaway

The Consolidated Baptist Church in Hazard will host Plum Point Church back to school giveaways on Saturday, July 25. The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration at the church, located at 108 Winterberry Street, and will end at 3 p.m. after door prizes have been given away. Free lunch will be provided. A parent or guardian must be present with a child to receive back pack school supplies.

Amis Cemetery annual memorial meeting

The 65th Annual Memorial Meeting on the Amis Cemetery at Buckhorn, will be Sunday, July 26. The service will begin at 10 a.m. Conducting the service will be the Rev. Paul Couch, with other ministers participating. Special singing will also be a part of the service. Immediately following the service dinner will be served at the Johnson United Baptist Church. You are invited to attend, enjoy the worship service, good fellowship and a good old-fashioned dinner.

Family reunion

The Lenville Short and Sytha Williams Family Reunion will be held on Aug. 1, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at theDog Wood Shelter in Knott County. Bring a covered dish. For more information call 606-642-4078.
