National Day of Prayer
The Perry County observance of the National Day of Prayer will take place on May 4 at 6 p.m. at The Amphitheatre beside of Hazard City Hall. The event is sponsored by the Perry County Ministerial Fellowship.
Mother of Good Counsel Church is holding its 11th Annual International Dinner on Friday, May 5. The dinner includes dishes from at least 7 countries, including the USA. Dessert and beverage are included in the meal. The cost for the dinner is $12 for adults; $6 for children ages 6-12 and under 6 eats free. Everyone is welcome
There will be a Youth Revival at Vicco Worship Center on Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6 at 6 p.m. nightly. Everyone is welcome.
Church Tour and Ice Cream
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints invites you to come and tour their church on May 11 at 7 p.m. During the tour, you will learn what the church offers for kids, youth, families, and how it can bring you closer to Jesus Christ. MC Napier Reunion 1950s and 1960s classes
The MC Napier Reunion for the 1950s and 1960s classes will be held May 12 and May 13 at Buckhorn Lodge. Friday night will have refreshments and a meet and greet. Saturday night will have a buffet dinner and oldies music by Kenneth and Joyce Rose. The cost is $40 per person and includes both nights. For more information, call Nancy Landrum at 606-436-8360.
Fiscal Court’s First Household Hazardous Waste Clean-Up
The Perry County Fiscal Court would like to invite everyone to participate in the first ever Household Hazardous Waste Clean-Up. There will be three different drops off locations in those three days.
- May 17 at the Vicco City Water parking lot from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
- May 18 at the Buckhorn Dam Tailwaters parking lot from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
- May 19 at the Perry County Garage from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
