HAZARD — A Leslie County man from the community of Yeaddiss was arrested on Nov. 22 on a charge relating to kidnapping.
According to a uniformed citation made by Kentucky State Police (KSP) Trooper John Couch said that Brandon Turner, 21, of Yeaddiss was involved in a kidnapping complaint. The citation says that Turner allegedly made threats toward his girlfriend Jessica Griffith. According to the citation, Turner allegedly made threats that he would not only harm Griffith, but everyone that was related to Griffith if she did not go with Turner.
The citation says that Turner threatened to obtain a firearm and allegedly threatened to use it if Griffith was not compliant to his demands.
On Nov. 21, the citation says that Turner and Griffith had been in an altercation, and the altercation turned violent when Turner allegedly slammed Griffith’s arm in a trailer door. According to the citation, Turner allegedly threatened to lock Griffith inside the trailer.
The citation says that Griffith stated she was fearful for her life and the lives of her relatives if she did not go with Turner.
KSP located Griffith at Turner’s residence in Leslie County. Turner was arrested by KSP, and transported to Kentucky River Regional Jail (KRRJ) where he was lodged in.
He is facing one count of kidnapping.
