Perry County Fair set for June 18, 19, 20


HAZARD—The first ever Perry County Fair will be held this weekend at the Perry County Park in Hazard, from Thursday, June 18, to Saturday, June 20. Below is the schedule of events as of Tuesday, June 16:

Thursday, June 18

Fair is open from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • 4 p.m.—Pig races
  • 5 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 6 p.m.—Opening ceremony on the big stage, Pig races
  • 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.—Bike and hot rod show
  • 7 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 8 p.m.—Pig races
  • 9 p.m.—5K Glow Run
  • All hours—Blacksmith demonstrations, pet adoptions, petting zoo, ATV trainings, and youth angler casting and NWTF hunter safety trainings
  • TBA—Civil war reenactments

Friday, June 19

Fair is open from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.

  • 12:30 p.m.—Pig races
  • 1 p.m.—Civil war reenactment
  • 3 p.m.—Civil war reenactment
  • 3:30 p.m.—Pig races
  • 5 p.m.—Timbersports, Civil war reenactment
  • 5:30 p.m.—Pig races
  • 6:30 p.m.—Bluegrass, Championship pro wrestling
  • 7 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 7:30 p.m.—Pig races
  • All hours—Blacksmith demonstrations, pet adoptions, petting zoo, ATV trainings, and youth angler casting and NWTF hunter safety trainings
  • TBA—Youth livestock/poultry shows and Raptor rehabilitation program demonstration

Saturday, June 20

Fair is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

  • 10 a.m.—Farm implement swap at the Perry County Board of Education
  • 12 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.—Swamp People, Liz and Justin, meet and greet
  • 3 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 4 p.m.—Clay Dyer demonstration on little stage, Raptor rehabilitation program demonstration
  • 6 p.m.—Timbersports
  • 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.—Swamp People, Liz and Justin, meet and greet
  • 7 p.m.—H&H horse show
  • All hours—Blacksmith demonstrations, pet adoptions, petting zoo, ATV trainings, and youth angler casting and NWTF hunter safety trainings
  • TBA—Pig races and civil war reenactment
