FRANKFORT — The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that Perry County will receive $184,100 in County Road Aid emergency funds.

The money will be used for repairs to slips or slides on Jent Mountain Road (CR 1459), Meadow Branch Road (CR 1339) and Brewer Lane (CR 1472), making them safer for cars, school buses and other vehicles that rely upon these highways.

Perry County will also receive $94,900 for a bridge on Alice Branch Hollow Road (CR 1888) over Balls Fork.

“These emergency funds are being used to repair roadways and to improve safety and mobility in Perry County,” said Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock. “This project is one example of the cabinet’s commitment to providing a solid infrastructure in Perry County and all across the commonwealth.”

The Perry County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.
