Brenda Sue Noble of Chavies passed away on Feb. 7 at the Hazard Medical Center. Noble was a beloved member of the Perry County community, who touched many with her kindheartedness, her devotion to public service and her brave battle against cancer. She is survived by a large host of loved ones, who embrace her legacy and cherish her memory. Brenda Noble’s husband, Denny Ray Noble, served four consecutive terms as Perry County Judge Executive, at which time great strides were made to promote cancer awareness in Perry County. Brenda Noble will be remembered by scores of local families for the compassion she showed others and the inspiration she gave to those facing adversity.
Brenda Noble was the daughter of the late Clyde Fugate and the late Maudella Holcomb Fugate. She is also preceded in death by one sister: Edith Ann Wooten and one brother: William Kenneth Fugate.
She is survived by her husband: Denny Ray Noble; two sons: Denny Ray Noble Jr. and Stacie of Chavies, and Coby Glenn Noble and Brenda of Chavies; two sisters: Julie Rose Cubuklu of Hazard and Anita Noble of Chavies; one brother: Cisco Fugate of Chavies; four grandchildren: Dalton, Brooke, Caleb and Caylee, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Feb. 9 at Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel in Hazard. The funeral will be at 12:00 p.m. on Feb. 10 at Maggard’s Mtn. View Chapel with Rev. Chris Fugate officiating. Interment will be at Noble Family Cemetery in Chavies. Brenda Noble was 63.
