JACKSON — Drivers using KY 80 in Perry County in the vicinity of Justice Drive and Fitz Gilbert Road should expect delays on Thursday, March, 10.
Workers will be doing core drilling, radar sounding and other data collection operations between milepoints 8.0 and 8.6, weather permitting. Motorists will encounter lane closures and should anticipate delays in the area between the KY 15/Hal Rogers Parkway interchange and a point just east of the traffic light at Justice Drive and Fitz Gilbert Road.
This is preliminary work for a proposed project to make improvements to the intersection of KY 80 and Justice Drive/Fitz Gilbert Road.
The work is expected to begin around 9 a.m. and will continue for most of the day. Drivers should watch for lane closures and obey the directions of flaggers who will be controlling traffic.
