Grand jury hands down indictments

HAZARD — The Perry County Grand Jury handed down indictments on Feb. 26.

*Johnny Burchfield, 44, of Manchester was indicted on one count of giving officer false name or address, one count of first-degree promoting contraband, one count of third-degree possession of controlled substance and one count of prescription drugs not in the prescribed container. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash.

*James Herald, 36, of Combs was indicted last month on one count of third-degree burglary, one count of third-burglary, one count of third-burglary, one count of third-degree burglary , one count of second-degree fleeing or evading police, one count of resisting arrest and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender. A $10,000 cash bond was set in the case.

*Tiffany Maniece, 33, of Hazard was indicted on two counts of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree burglary and one count of third-degree burglary. A $10,000 cash bond was set in the case,

*Dwayne Combs, 33, of Hazard was indicted last month on one count of theft by deception more than $10,000 and 31 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Bail was set in the amount of $15,000 plus Monitored Conditional Release (MCR).

*Charles Hamblin, 33, of Hazard was indicted on 16 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, one count of theft by deception over $500 but less than $10,000, three counts of theft by deception and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 plus MCR.

*James D. Bailey, 31, of Bonnyman was indicted last month on one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Carlis Hall, 47, of Chavies was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking less than $500, one count of resisting arrest, one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of an automobile, one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition involving a firearm, one count of second-degree fleeing or evading police, one count of first-degree fleeing or evading police, one count of third-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree wanton endangerment. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Sandra Campbell, 38, Bonnyman was indicted last month on one count of theft by deception more than $10,000 and 31 counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 plus MCR.

*David Marlowe, 31, of Hardburley was indicted on one count of first offense DUI, one count of careless driving, failure to wear seat belts, failure to produce insurance card, first offense failure of owner to maintain required insurance, first-degree promoting contraband and first-degree possession of a controlled substance.

*Tori Sumner, 20, of Vicco was indicted last month on one count of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree burglary, one count of third-degree burglary, one count of first offense DUI, one count of leaving the scene of accident failure to render aid or assistance and one count of second-degree fleeing or evading police. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Killis Jones “Peanut”, 38, was indicted on one count of first-degree burglary and one count of third-degree criminal mischief. Bail was set in the amount of $20,000 cash plus MCR.

*Cadance S. Marlowe, 22, pf Ary was indicted last month one count of receiving stolen property more than $500 but less than $10,000. A $5,000 cash bond was set in the case.

*Bransford Olinger, 38, of Hazard was indicted on one count of first-degree robbery and one count of first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of $25,000 cash plus MCR.

*Charles Asher, 44, of Hazard was indicted last month on one count of first offense cultivating in marijuana give plants or more. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash.

*Arthur Smith, 23, of Viper was indicted on one count of impersonating a peace officer. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash.

*Ashley Throckmorton, 28, of Vicco was indicted last month on one count of endangering the welfare of a minor and one count of tampering with physical evidence. A $5,000 cash bond was set in the case.

*Kimberly Turner, 27, of Hazard was indicted on one count of fraudulent use of a government issued assistance ID card or electronic code for benefits. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash.

*Jackie Hall, 32, of Topmost was indicted last month on one count of public intoxication, one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, one count of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, one count of prescription drugs not in proper container and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Aaron Strunk, 23, of Bulan was indicted on one count of first offense DUI, one count of first-degree criminal mischief, one count of possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle and failure to produce insurance card. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 surety plus MCR.
