East Perry Speech Team competes


Courtesy Photos The East Perry Speech team traveled to Lexington, Kentucky to compete in the KESDA state speech competition. The team experienced success in both preliminaries and semi-finals. Three students were able to break into finals and placed high in state. Sheridan Combs, 7th grader, placed 2nd in Declamation with her version of Elizabeth Glaser’s 1992 Address to the Democratic Convention. Brady Adams and Kinnley Johnson, both 7th graders, were able to placed 6th in Duo Improvisation. The team was awarded 3rd in small division. The team includes Brady Adams, Jacob Butler, Kinnley Johnson, Sheridan Combs, Allie Combs, Jazmen Fugate, Riley Feltner, Rachel Feltner, Ryann Brashear, and Jaden Fields. The team is coached by Kaitlyn Kelly who is a 3rd grade teacher at East Perry.
