FRANKFORT — In an effort to better protect Kentucky’s children, Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Cyber Crimes Unit today announced a Jefferson County man has been arrested for possessing child pornography.

Ryan Edward Biskis, 25, of Louisville, turned himself in to authorities today after a warrant was issued for his arrest by the AG’s Cyber Crimes Unit. Biskis was charged with 100 counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Biskis is currently in jail with a $10,000 bond.

On March 18, General Beshear’s Cyber Crime Unit executed a search warrant for the home of Biskis after downloading child pornography from Biskis via peer-to-peer networks. During the search, cyber investigators seized a laptop computer and a floor safe.

According to cyber investigators, Biskis indicated that he would download child pornography and store it on Secure Digital/SD cards housed in the locked safe. Once cyber investigators gained access to the safe, they uncovered eight SD cards containing hundreds of images depicting child pornography.

The work of the Cyber Crimes Unit, a division of the Department of Criminal Investigations in the Office of the Attorney General, is part of Beshear’s core mission to keep sexual predators away from Kentucky’s families and children.

“The Attorney General is the chief advocate and protector for our Kentucky families, and it’s our job to take those who would exploit children off the streets to ensure our communities are safe,” Beshear said.

Biskis is scheduled to appear in Jefferson Circuit Court April 13.
