GRAPEVINE — The male suspect that authorities say trespassed and illegally hunted Friday will not be prosecuted because the homeowner of the property didn’t want to press charges.
Deputy Ruey Couch, who lead the investigation, said Carl Strong had called Deputy Shawn White and admitted to shooting the turkey.
The Perry County Sheriff’s Department contacted the homeowner, Shelia Neace, and she declined to press charges against Strong.
Deputy Couch said the hunt would have been legal if Strong hadn’t been on Neace’s property.
No charges have been filed against Strong and Neace just asked that he wouldn’t hunt on her property again.
