King sentenced

HAZARD — Perry County Clerk Haven King appeared in the Perry County Circuit Court for final sentencing earlier this morning.

King was found guilty of harassment and first-degree official misconduct by a jury last month. He was ordered to pay $750 in fines, $250 for harassment and $500 for first-degree official misconduct.

King’s Attorney, Jim Hampton, asked Perry County Circuit Judge Allison C. Wells to give King 45 days to pay the fines, Judge Wells agreed.

Neither King nor the victim, Kali Bentley, made statements on the case.

He was found not guilty of first-degree wanton endangerment, second-degree wanton endangerment, reckless driving, menacing, second-degree stalking and second-degree unlawful imprisonment.
