PAINTSVILLE – Dr. Devin Stephenson, president of Big Sandy Community and Technical College (BSCTC), was the guest speaker at a meeting of the Paintsville Kiwanis club on Wednesday, June 24 at the Ramada Inn Hotel and Conference Center. “I am proud to be a part of a community that recognizes the importance of giving back,” said Dr. Stephenson. “Our region is home to many progressive civic organizations that work on the front lines of so many important issues.” Dr. Stephenson told Kiwanians of his vision for BSCTC “to be an influencer” and to work hand-in-hand with organizations in regards to community and economic development. “We want to be the premier institution of higher education in Kentucky, and we want to be known for our work in transfer education and workforce development,” he said. “I want you to join us in finding a ‘passion for the possible’ and using our challenges to unlock new and exciting opportunities.” For more information on BSCTC, visit www.bigsandy.kctcs.edu.
