Grand Jury hands down indictments

HAZARD — Leading the Perry County indictments this month is a man from the Perry County community of Viper who is accused of burglary.

Roger Begley, 29, of Viper was indicted this month on one count of third-degree burglary. According to the indictment, Begley entered the building of C.C Woods with the intent to steal. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 surety plus MCR.

*William Huff, 46, of Viper was indicted on one count of second-degree escape, one count of tampering with prisoner’s monitoring device and one count of theft by unlawful taking more than $500. A $5,000 cash bond plus MCR was set in the case.

*Ricky Combs, 51, of Hazard was indicted this month on one count of second-degree escape, one count of tampering with prisoner’s monitoring device and one count of theft by unlawful taking more than $500. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash plus MCR.

*Jack Singleton, 37, of Garner was indicted this month on two counts of second-degree escape. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Felicia Abner, 36, of Hazard was indicted on one count of first offense operating a motor vehicle under the influence, one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, one count of first-degree wanton endangerment, one count of drug paraphernalia and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender. A $10,000 cash bond plus MCR was set in the case.

*Gregory J. Fultz, 36, of Blackie and James Ethan Kennedy, 45, of Hazard were indicted this month on five counts of theft by deception less than $500, one count of theft by deception more than $500 but less than $10,000, one count of unlawful access to a computer and one count of first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the of $10,000 to each party.

*Gregory J. Fultz, 36, of Blackie and Melissa Miller, 42, of Ary were indicted one one count of theft by deception more than $500 but less than $10,000. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash for each party.

*Gregory J. Futlz, 36, of Blackie and Leonard N. Singleton, 38, of Vicco were indicted this month on three counts of theft by deception less than $500, one count of first-degree unlawful access to a computer and first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of @10,000 cash for each party.

*Jessica Begley, 27, of Bonnyman was indicted on one count of giving an officer a false name or address, one count of third-degree possession of a controlled substance, , one count of drug paraphernalia and one count of first-degree promoting contraband. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Alan D. Williams, 31, of Hazard was indicted this month on one count of murder. According to the indictment Williams stabbed Edward Huges in the chest and killed him. The alleged murder took place in December 2014. Bail was set in the amount of $500,000 cash plus MCR and home incarceration. He is scheduled for arraignment on Oct. 13.

*Ryan D. Griffith, 27, of Gays Creek was indicted on one count of first-degree possession of a controlled substance. Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus MCR.

*Samantha Campbell Stidham, 27, of Chavies was indicted this month on one count of second-degree escape and one count of tampering with a prisoner’s monitoring device. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash in the case.

*Gregory J. Fultz, 36, of Blackie was indicted on one count of theft by deception less than $500, one count of unlawful access to a computer and first-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set in the amount of $10,000 cash in the case.
