BONNYMAN — A two-vehicle collision near the Fugate’s Entertainment Center claimed the life of one person and sent a juvenile to the hospital on Sunday.

Jammie Napier, 21, of Hazard succumbed to her wounds shortly after the accident at Hazard ARH, the coroner’s office said.

Napier was a student at University of Pikeville, volunteered her time at Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center and worked at Food City as a cashier.

A juvenile in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital. No information on the juvenile’s current condition is available.

Perry County Sheriff’s Department say the wreck happened between a silver Toyota sedan, being driven by Napier, and a blue Toyota SUV around 2:15 p.m. Sunday near the old Fugate’s Entertainment Center.

Deputy Tim Feltner is in charge of the investigation.

Funeral service for Napier is scheduled for July 29 at 2 p.m at Maggard’s Mountain View Chapel.

Napier’s arrangements are located in the obituary section of the paper.
