Campebell indicted on escape, peristent felony offender

HAZARD — A Chavies woman is accused of escaping from Kentucky River Regional Jail (KRRJ).

Samantha Campbell, 28, of Chavies was indicted this month on one count of second-degree escape and one count of second-degree persistent felony offender.

According to the indictment, Campbell escaped from KRRJ on April 24 by running off the grounds and into a vehicle being operated by Anthony Campbell. The vehicle then drove away, the indictment says.

Bail was set in the amount of $5,000 cash plus home incarceration and MCR.
