HAZARD — Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 13 is asking the public’s help in locating a 14-year-old foster child from Leslie County.

KSP say they received a call from Leslie County Emergency Operation Dispatch Center Thursday afternoon informing KSP of a runaway foster child.

The foster child, Jason Baker, is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighting 160 pounds. KSP say Baker was last seen wearing black ball shorts, black shirt, black shoes and a red bandana. KSP also said Baker was carrying a back pack when he was last seen.

According to KSP, Baker left a home in Asher community shortly after being placed in a foster home.

KSP Trooper Kevin Guier spoke to Baker’s foster family and after gathering information, searched the area near the foster home. Trooper Guier was not able to locate Baker.

KSP is asking if any members of the public have any information on the whereabouts of Baker, they should contact KSP at 606-435-6069.

Trooper Guier is in charge of the investigation.
