PERRY COUNTY — The Kentucky Department of Highways (KDH) will be closing KY 267 in Perry County on Sept. 23 – 24. The closing is a result of KDH installing a new drainage structure.
The road will be closed to all through traffic at the 5.8 mile-point in the Sixteenmile Creek Area. There will be no marked detour posted, but KDH say motorists can use either KY 15 and KY 1067 or KY 80 and KY 1146 as alternate routes.
KDH will begin installing the drainage system Friday morning, Sept. 23. KDH say the road will be closed overnight until the installation is completed. They expect to have the project Saturday afternoon.
Motorists should expect to plan their trips accordingly, KDH urges. KDH reports approximately 830 motor vehicles use this stretch of road per day.
