HAZARD — The Hazard Perry County Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Friday to celebrate the reopening of Peking Chinese Restaurant in its new location. Peking served as a popular downtown destination for many years. The restaurant was once located in the Grand Hotel building on Main Street. In Sept. of 2015, the building was completely destroyed by fire, leaving many wondering if Peking would reopen.
Now, Peking is back in business, located next to Papa John’s beside Hwy. 15 in Hazard. Along with the ribbon cutting ceremony, Peking also held its grand opening on Friday.
