COMBS — One person was arrested Friday during a search warrant that came as a result of an undercover narcotics investigation by Hazard Police Department (HPD) detectives.
William Herald, 34, was arrested on cultivating marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree promoting contraband, trafficking in marijuana, first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, third-degree trafficking in controlled substance, and first offense trafficking in legend drugs.
During the execution of the search warrant, HPD says they found 81 bags of cocaine that was packaged for sale, 10 bags of marijuana that was packaged for sale, more than 100 various types of pills, five marijuana plants that were located in an indoor grow setup, needles, two firearms, and more than $2,300.
HPD says the cash were pre-recorded bills that were used during previous undercover drug purchases.
Herald was placed in custody and was transported to Kentucky River Regional Jail, where he was lodged in.
